Obama vs. Romney

Obama vs. Romney
watercolor, colored pencil, ink

This is my take on the battle for presidency, since I don't follow politics as much as I should.
They are animalized into their respective democratic and republican parties, and color coded as well.
Since they advertise and debate against each other quite easily saying how the other is unprepared and unconditioned or what have you for the job, attacking each other like animals, while their own plans are generalized and un-specific.
And the big part I see is Romney trying to take Obama's spot, stealing his pin behind his back.
I am very un-opinionated about politics, but
make what you see out of it... and may the best man survive.

Spark

"Spark"
-a new self-portrait
-a narrative on my emotional state in life right now
watercolor, colored pencil, gouache, ink
10x13

My face being pulled in different directions
a mix of colors representing emotions
different colored birds flying from different places as several forms of inspiration
ambiguous space on the left forming past my face to orderly planned pattern on the right
a look of confusion, excitement, and fear

Thanks for looking!
